- My name is Melissa. You can call me Melissa Jo. I am a senior at Grand Valley State University. I plan to become a certified teacher in Spanish as well as Psychology. Yes I can speak two languages! I also coach volleyball, a 10th grade club team. I'm very athletic and competitive. I hate to lose anything. Who doesn't? In high school I played volleyball, softball and basketball as well as tennis. Sports are my life. I am mexican-american. I'm very proud of my origins. Love... I can't live without. I am a people-person. I cherish every moment with the ones I love cause I never know when it will be the last. My life has been blessed. Never regret. Things happen for a reason. God has blessed me with the ability to accept what I cannot change. I am a momma to a beautiful baby boy on 11.18.08 I love being a mother and if people have stuff to say about it, I'll let them talk... cause life's not always perfect and not everyone follows the time line set by our society. Having a baby is a blessing regardless, and being a mother is by far one of the best things that have happened to me! I love Gabriel Chance Valentín.
